The Hawaii doctor accused of trying to kill his wife on a birthday hike last year called his son over FaceTime, confessed to the attack and threatened to kill himself, his son testified in court Tuesday.

The son of a Maui anesthesiologist testified Tuesday that during a video call with his father on March 24, 2025, the doctor admitted to trying to kill his wife while the couple were on an Oahu hike.
