The move comes after Trump warned he would further restrict immigration into the U.S. following the arrest of an Afghan national in connection with the shooting of two National Guard members on the eve of Thanksgiving, one of whom died. The suspect has pleaded not guilty to murder and assault charges.

US President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation further restricting and limiting the entry of foreign nationals to the United States, the White House said on Tuesday.

On top of the pre-existing 19 countries that had been flagged in June, the administration had added another 20 countries to the list.
