I still haven't figured out how to get this hen and her chicks back up to the top part of the coop. The coop door is chicken sized, the bottom run is 4x4. I can't reach them and I can't fit through the door. The hen can get back up to the roosts in the top but the chicks are too small to follow. I put a motion sensor light out there. Five of the six chicks have figured out how to use the makeshift stick ramp to follow their mother, Mistletoe up top to the haylined nestbox for the night. There is one who hasn't figured it out. It was soooo cold and windy when I was out taking care of the animals this evening. Both boys stayed in the little coop during the day. I keep hoping the four chickens that had been roosting outside would eventually figure out that being in a coop at night is better. Two out of the four figured it out this evening.
