The other morning we had fox predation on one of our nests. While excavating, we had lots of live hatchlings ready to go to the ocean! 💙🐢 This morning I came across a turtle nest that had been dug up by a fox. I called Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program and when they checked the nest, they found 4 tiny hatchlings still alive! Watching them make their way safely into the ocean was pure magic. Our little hooked turtle (Kemp's ridley) was on the struggle bus getting back out to the ocean! The turtle was very clean, with no injuries, so we were unsure why he was struggling (the water was chilly), but he finally made it back out! We were so thankful the fisherman called us, and to our friends at the Oak Island Pier for always calling us and supporting us!
